- When I click on my ringtone in Internet Explorer 8, I get a page full of strange characters. How do I download my ringtone?
When using Internet Explorer 8, follow these instructions for downloading your ringtone:
1) When you arrive at the webpage containing your ringtones, right click the ringtone you would like to download and select “Save Target As...”
2) For the filename, type in the name of your ringtone along with the extension “.m4r”. Be sure to type “.m4r” at the end of the ringtone name so your system will recognize the file as a ringtone.
3) Now, find the ringtone on your computer and double-click to open in iTunes.
- I made some awesome recordings with Ringtone Piano, but how do I get them on my phone as ringtones?
- Why do I have to use my computer to put ringtones on my iPhone? Why can’t I just load them straight into the ringtones section of my iPhone directly from Ringtone Piano?
Unfortunately it’s currently not possible for any apps in The App Store to access the iPhone’s ringtones. However, we look forward to supporting this function in the future if it becomes available.
- Ringtone Piano crashed. What happened?
The most likely cause is that your iPhone ran out of memory. Try opening Safari and closing any open pages. You can also try Memory Management apps like Free Memory to help fix the problem.
- Do I have to be connected to a WiFi network to record ringtones?
No. You can record ringtones anywhere, anytime and save them in Ringtone Piano. A WiFi network is only needed when you want to load your ringtones onto your computer or transfer them to the ringtones section of of your iPhone.
- Some of the sounds seem distorted. Is there anything I can do to fix that?
In Audio Options, try sliding the Master Gain slider all the way to the left. This will eliminate any unintended clipping or distortion.
- I’d really like to see a specific feature added in a future version of Ringtone Piano. Will you add it?
